In less than half a century, the population of Ukraine will drop to 36 million -– this according to the National Institute of Demography.

Experts confirm the population is aging, with single, elderly men outnumbering women. This in addition to a high infant mortality rate and mass migration of working age citizens. At a roundtable discussion on the problems of demographics, scholars noted the only way to change this sad turn of events is for Ukrainians to have more babies. (Source: 5tv.com.ua)
